Permit us to share the history of identifying spheres (government, religion, education, media, arts and entertainment, family, business) of influence in a city:

In 1975, Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, and Loren Cunningham, founder of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), had lunch together in Colorado. God simultaneously gave each of these change agents a message to give to the other.

During that same time frame, Francis Schaeffer was given a similar message. The message was that if people were to impact any nation or city for Jesus Christ, they would need to affect the seven spheres (or mountains or pillars) of society. These seven spheres are: business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, the family and religion.

Therefore, it seems apparent to focus prayer on these seven spheres. So we’re glad you are considering gathering with others for PRAY MODESTO!
