Center for Human Services’ mission is to change lives and build futures through programs that strengthen and support youth and families. Our vision is to be a leader in advocacy and services for youth and families working with partners to build a strong community while upholding our values of respect, responsiveness, innovation, integrity, results and partnerships.
Center for Human Services (CHS) is a 501(c)3 private, non-profit agency serving youth and families through a variety of prevention, intervention, education, shelter and mental health programs. CHS began in 1970 in Modesto, California and has grown to become one of the largest providers of social services in Stanislaus County. CHS is committed to providing de-centralized services through our Family Resource Centers with locations stretching from Newman, Patterson and Ceres on the Westside, to Oakdale on the East. Last year Center for Human Services served over 20,000 individuals. As we look to the future we anticipate this number to grow and we feel confident that CHS is poised to meet the ever-changing needs of our community.
